Hey Parents!

We need some help with supervision around the church building/property on Wednesday nights during the free times – 6:30-7:00pm and from 8:00-8:30pm. We may only need you once a month. You can do it for just one shift or both! You can do it with a friend! We just need more supervision for our growing group of youthful students.  Please click this link to sign up to help one or two times a month. Student Leaders on Workcrew Retreat

A few weeks ago I sent Lauren’s paper to Youthworks! to see if it might be useful in this summer’s edition of “Reverb” magazine. They were super impressed with the story and wanted Lauren to write something new to fit their goal of encouraging students to continue to serve even after the trip. Meet at Thunderbird Skate for a great night and a great cause with Woodcreek Youth! Bring your friends! Sunday, February 28th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Cost is $10. All proceeds from this event will go to Haiti relief efforts through WorldVision.

We are bringing in Aim For Success on Wednesday, March 3. AFS is a Christian abstinence program that uses Scripture to teach about the purpose for sex and  to promote a Biblically based lifestyle of excellence by encouraging the development of self control, self respect, and self discipline. SL Groups are small groups led by our Student Leaders that meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:30pm for a month at a time.The purpose of the groups are for Student Leaders to get to know the junior high students and vice-versa. These groups involve some get-to-know-you games and other fun activities to build relationships.
