During the first Wednesday of each month, join Chris and Mike in the Creekside Room for a brownbag lunch at noon. We will spend time getting to know each other, sharing about the youth group and praying for our students.

We are so blessed to freely worship and proclaim Christ here in America. Not everyone experiences our freedom. Over the past couple of months we have taken the opportunity to briefly introduce the students to a new/different country whose believers are enduring persecution and/or hostility for their faith. We then pray for our brothers and sisters in that country. We have hung a huge wall map in the Creekside Room that color codes the countries that are hostile towards Christians.

Please pray with us for the persecuted Church and for Christ to be glorified in all of our lives whether in freedom or in bondage.

A few weeks ago I sent Lauren’s paper to Youthworks! to see if it might be useful in this summer’s edition of “Reverb” magazine. They were super impressed with the story and wanted Lauren to write something new to fit their goal of encouraging students to continue to serve even after the trip. These four students have a heart to deepen their walk with Christ and be bold as they stand for Christ at school. They have begun a student lead Bible study that meets on Sunday nights from 4:00-5:00pm in the atrium on the nights that youth meets at the church at 5:00pm. Yeah God!
