Mentoring
“As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
“And the things which you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2
God wants us to pass on the legacy of faith to the next generation who will in turn pass it on to the next and so on. We are in the family of God today because of the godly men and women who mentored those who would carry the torch of truth forward to us today. We need to continue this legacy of Christian mentoring.
The most effective mentoring is intentional. It is not so much a program as it is a relationship. It is the process where older men and younger men relate in such a way that younger men grow as older me guide.
