Mission Trips
Our mission trips are a vital part to what the Lord does in growing and building our students in Him. We take missions very seriously as both a command from Christ (Matthew 28, Acts 1:8) and as being representatives of Christ to the world (2 Cor. 5:20). Because of this, we challenge our students by making the standards of participation on these trips higher than some other youth ministries in the area. Our hope is not to keep anyone from participating, but that students will rise to the challenge and accept the adventure of serving Christ with their friends on the mission field, and in doing so grow in maturity and faith as a student following Jesus.
CARE Trip

Our CARE Trip was born out of a growing heart for missions from our students and the great need to offer help and support to the areas of the country in need. God has directed this trip to provide ongoing relief and clean up efforts for the Gulf Coast areas of the US that were damaged by recent hurricanes. In the past this trip has led us to partner with the EFCA Katrina Project rebuilding homes and lives in New Orleans, but this year our efforts are taking us to Galveston in response to the damage done by Hurricane Ike.
If the CARE Trip sounds like something you think you’d like to be a part of, please prayerfully consider joining us.

Mexico Mission Trip
One of our longest standing events that Woodcreek does as a church is tosend our Senior High Ministry to Mexico on a summer mission trip. This trip leads us to the Mexican Indian Training Center, a seminary for indigenous Mexicans, in Cordoba, Mexico. While there our students help serve the school through work projects and hosting Vacation Bible Schools for the local Christian churches founded by the MITC. Occasionally the Lord will direct us to load up a bus and head to a village to continue our work of serving the Church and the children of Mexico. This trip not only asks more out of its team members during the week in Mexico, but for the months beforehand we meet and train and build into each other in order to serve Christ well. The commitment to this team and trip is great, but the reward for serving Christ together is even greater.

If the Mexico Mission Trip sounds like something you think you’d like to be a part of, please prayerfully consider joining us and take a look at this information. Please note that in order to qualify for the Mexico Team service hours are required and so as early a start on the application process the better.
