WORSHIPPING GOD, for the Christ-follower, is an amazing journey of sacrifice, service and sometimes singing…but not always.  It’s something every believer does from the day they’re born again throughout all eternity!  Sometimes it happens in the simplest ways, conscious or unconscious…for the desire to worship God resides in the heart of every believer….

I just happen to love music, and as the chief ragamuffin leading the worship arts ministry at Woodcreek I enjoy encouraging others to sing their hearts out to the Lord…I also recognize the creative gifts God has given to everyone in the body, making the Woodcreek body as unique as any local church.

My hope is to draw out artists of all kinds to share their gifts with the body of Christ at Woodcreek, bringing Him glory through those gifts…perhaps it’s painters, or photographers, or sculpters or graphic artists…and if I’m being short-sighted with this list, feel free to “open my eyes”!

My hope is to include all who desire to be part of the music ministry to do so…there’s always a place…one thing I enjoy is working with the older elementary kids and junior high students in vocal ensembles to help lead the adults during the Sunday morning worship services at different times throughout the year.  We also have an adult choir that helps lead during special services…and then we have a “worship team” made up of folks who love to share their vocal and instrumental gifts with the Woodcreek family week in and week out…you’ll see a different configuration of people in front every week…

And those who become part of this ministry will also be encouraged to serve the body in other ways just to model the idea that acts of service are acts of worship.

So, we welcome you to join us on this journey of worshipping God together in the Woodcreek family and all the things it does on Renner Road and throughout the community and the world!
